摘要: Tertiary lymphoid organs (TLOs) are structures that morphologically and functionally similar to secondary organs. TLOs usually arise in a background of chronic inflammation. Several histological patterns interstitial nephritis have been documented porcine leptospirosis. Among them the lympho-follicular pattern is characterized by infiltrates mononuclear cells organized follicle-like structures. Immunohistological analysis 5 cases associated with Leptospira Pomona infection demonstrated presence inflammatory cell populations, including B cells, T macrophages follicular dendritic (FDCs), which were compartmentalized as TLOs. Immunohistochemistry for revealed an intimate association between leptospiral antigen FDCs. Overexpression MHCII different populations both professional non-professional presenting was also demonstrated. FDCs play role during induction their ability retain non-self antigens form immune complexes, thus causing persistent activation, generation complex cytokine network stimulation humoral immunity. Sustained bacterial presentation context nephritis, may lead autoimmune mechanisms involved Whether neogenesis protective still unclear.
