摘要: Crystallite-bearing glass spherules (<200 µm diam) are associated with North American microtektites in a Caribbean deep-sea core (RC9–58). X-ray and chemical data indicate that the crystalline phase is clinopyroxene (probably augite). The clinopyroxene-bearing similar composition to bottle-green, high-magnesium microtektites. It appears were formed by same event produced tektite strewnfield ∼35 m.y. ago.
