The effectiveness of provisions and quality of practices concerning public participation in EIA in Italy

摘要: Abstract The central question this paper examines is: how can the effectiveness of provisions for and practices concerning public participation in EIA procedure be improved, with specific reference to those Italy? To address question, starts by establishing what “goals” involving are, which “factors” contribute towards achieving effective participation. Indicators both are then identified used analyze legislative Italy relation their implications Two case studies also analyzed same set indicators. As a final step, “profile” is created, broad recommendations based on opportunities improving formulated.
