摘要: This paper describes a strategy for estimating land-cover change at national level over the past 30 years. Change rates 84 ecoregions across conterminous United States are estimated using sampling procedure and five dates of Landsat imagery between 1973 2000. methodology has been applied to six eastern U.S. ecoregions. Early results show very high in Plains ecoregions, moderate Piedmont low Appalachian These suggest that appropriate strata capturing unique patterns manual interpretation provides highest quality results. Directions future research summarized.
