摘要: Background Bullous skin diseases are known to be associated with significant morbidity and mortality. There have been no studies on mortality from severe bullous in Canada. Methods We used data the Statistics Canada website 2000 2007 for three major diseases: pemphigoid; pemphigus; toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). Crude age-standardized rates were calculated compared corresponding US rates. Linear regression was assess time trend effect of gender age rates. Results During period eight years, there 115 deaths attributed pemphigoid, 84 pemphigus, 44 TEN. The crude annual rate highest pemphigoid (0.045 per 100,000), followed by pemphigus (0.033), TEN (0.017).
