A 6-year treatment experience for pemphigus: retrospective study of 69 Chinese patients

摘要: There is a lack of data on treatment and prognosis pemphigus in China. The aim this study was to evaluate long-term follow-up pemphigus. Forty-seven inpatients with vulgaris (PV) 22 foliaceus (PF) were recruited retrospective study. average age at onset 51.6 54.9 years PV PF, respectively. High-dose systemic steroids administered 47 21 which 18 8 PF adjuvant therapies. CD4 lymphocytopenia found 5 2 patients admission successfully treated by intravenous thymopentin daily. During mean 37.1 months, 41 19 reached remission, 30 9 relapsed, 4 died. Major causes death relapse due discontinuation oral the themselves (four cases) severe infections (two cases, one lymphocytopenia). 1-year mortality rate 8.5% 4.5%, Cox regression analysis indicated that an independent risk factor related elevated mortality. Our report confirmed high Chinese population stressed patient education urgently needed prevent relapses deaths.
