摘要: For a number of years, scientists have been trying to develop aids that can make visually impaired people more independent and aware their surroundings. Computer-based automatic navigation tools are one example this, motivated by the increasing miniaturization electronics improvement in processing power sensing capabilities. This paper presents complete system based on low cost physically unobtrusive sensors such as camera an infrared sensor. The is around corners depth values from Kinect's Obstacles found images using corner detection, while input sensor provides corresponding distance. combination both efficient robust. not only identifies hurdles but also suggests safe path (if available) left or right side tells user stop, move left, right. has tested real time blindfolded blind at different indoor outdoor locations, demonstrating it operates adequately.
