摘要: Abstract An analytical procedure for the determination of Hg in otter ( Lontra longicaudis ) feces was developed, to separate fish scales identification animal diet. Samples were washed with ultra-pure water and suspension sampled transferred digestion. The solubilization performed nitric–perchloric acid mixture, detection carried out by atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS). quality assessed analyzing in-house standard solutions certified reference materials. Total concentrations range 7.6–156 ng g −1 (July 2004), 25.6–277 ng g (January 2005) 14.6–744 ng g (May that is approximately same order magnitude all samples collected two reservoirs at Tiete River, Brazil. Although varied sampling periods diet, high levels correlated percentage carnivorous present feces.
