摘要: This paper is the first in a series of articles describing refraction and propagation infinitesimal disturbances \`coarse grained' inhomogeneous anisotropic material which fused to an isotropic substrate. Here, basic constitutive law for motivated by applications non-destructive evaluation austenitic steel welds, although it clear that phenomena described mathematical analysis used also interest geophysics, study composite materials several other areas continuum mechanics. work concerned with horizontally polarized shear wave source at fusion interface between homogeneous transversely material. The latter virtue fact zonal axis or symmetry crystals varies direction distance from interface. boundary-value problem solved exactly, and, high-frequency limit, uniform asymptotic expansion displacement vector found. It shown this wide range constants, refracted energy penetrates certain regions \`weld material' totally internally reflected. conclusion highly significant design inspection procedures structurally important welds.
