摘要: This paper analyzes the factors explaining aggregate fuel consumption for road transport in Spain a dynamic panel data framework. Three features on this study are use of balanced using regional data, distinction between gasoline and diesel specification (DPD) model estimate it by system Generalized Methods Moments (GMM). Our results show that most explanatory variables significant evolution consumption, while is found to be independent these factors. The differences markets (most passenger use) (passenger freight important) could explain model. Moreover, intensive dieselization process has taken place over last decade, which resulted being exposed - i.e., regulatory not strictly economic nature. finding highlights need consider different models go further research. Finally, we find traditional estimation procedures, such as fixed random effect estimators, produce important with respect system-GMM, may even change policy recommendations.
