摘要: Summary In this issue of Molecular Microbiology, Rugarabamu and colleagues investigate the role rhomboid proteases responsible for adhesin shedding during invasion apicomplexan parasite Toxoplasma gondii. This study, together with several other recent publications, raises new questions about function these rhomboids in Toxoplasma, while also strongly arguing against recently proposed roles proteases.
