摘要: Abstract An emulsion-congealing technique was used to prepare prolonged release lipid micropellets containing ketoprofen. The matrix consisted of cottonseed oil/beeswax mixture and emulsified at 70°C into 0.1 N HCI Tween 60 gelatin. studied formulation factors were the amounts drug, gelatin, in addition composition rate cooling. optimization protocol required preliminary studies (11 batches) help choose suitable levels for factors, a central composite design (17 correlate simultaneously some these measured variables, e.g., drug entrapment, particle size dissolution parameters. adopted strategy led about 1.5 mm diameter 25% w/w loading with characteristics. study offers adequate prediction micropellet characteristics provides basis development other systems.
