摘要: We report on intercalation of seven kinds metals—Pt, Pd, Ni, Co, Au, In, and Ce—at the interface between an epitaxially grown graphene layer a Ru(0001) substrate. Atomic resolution scanning tunneling microscopy images perfect lattice are obtained top these intercalated metals, showing that high quality original is, in end, undisturbed by intercalation. A model based theoretical calculation is proposed for mechanism: metal atom-aided defect formation self-healing C–C bonds at temperature. These materials include noble magnetic IIIA group metal, rare earth which indicates through epitaxial universal approach metals.
