摘要: Relationship between insulin action and secretion was analyzed in 10 hypertensive patients (H group; 5 male, female; 56.9 ± 2.5 years) compared with normotensive subjects (N 51.7 3.7 years; P > .05) matched for age, sex, body mass index. All participants (normoglycemic, nonobese, not affected by metabolic syndrome) underwent a 5-hour, 22-sample, oral (75 g) glucose tolerance test. Insulin sensitivity quantified quantitative check index an computed minimal-model–based “integral equation.” β-Cell responsivity indexes (dynamic, Φd; static, Φs; global, Φoral) were estimated C-peptide minimal model. Compared the N group, our H group featured no significant difference (P fasting glycemia, < .02) increase plasma (93%) (53%) concentrations, .01) reduction both (10%) (68%). No variations of mean Φd, Φs, Φoral observed across 2 groups response to challenge. Thus, deterioration hypertension mirrored reciprocal change β-cell responsivity. Nevertheless, 143% .005) area under curve circulating 34% ratio insulin. These results support hypothesis that decreased clearance patients, syndrome, is further regulatory mechanism, addition increased secretion, compensate resistance.
