摘要: During the last two decades, resurgence of tuberculosis (TB) has been documented in both developed and developing nations, much this increase TB burden coincided with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) epidemics. Since then, disease pattern changed a higher incidence extrapulmonary (EPTB) as well disseminated TB. EPTB cases include lymphadenitis, pleural TB, meningitis, osteoarticular genitourinary abdominal cutaneous ocular pericarditis breast although any organ can be involved. Diagnosis baffling, compelling high index suspicion owing to paucibacillary load biological specimens. A negative smear for acid-fast bacilli, lack granulomas on histopathology failure culture Mycobacterium do not exclude diagnosis EPTB. Novel diagnostic modalities such nucleic acid amplification (NAA) useful varied forms This review is primarily focused several clinical by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using different gene targets.
