Management of mandibular body fractures in pediatric patients: a case report with review of literature.

摘要: Mandibular fractures are relatively less frequent in children when compared to adults, which may be due the child's protected anatomic features and infrequent exposure of alcohol related traffic accidents. Treatment principles mandibular differ from that adults concerns regarding growth development dentition. A case a 4.5-year-old boy with fractured body mandible managed by closed reduction using open occlusal acrylic splint circum wiring is presented. This article also provides review literature management fracture young children.
