摘要: High-resolution electron energy-loss spectroscopy has been used to study the π plasmon in monolayer graphene grown on Pt(111). A quadratic dispersion observed, contrast linear reported for SiC(0001) and agreement with recent experiments graphene/Ni(111). Despite weak interaction of Pt(111) surface, our results indicate that screening by underlying metal substrate strongly influences both relation damping processes mode electrons.
