摘要: Abstract Eight small pit lakes, located in the Pigeon River State Forest, were considered to be ecologically suited trout as determined by a physical, chemical, and biological survey of these lakes 1931 1932. Four found over-run with yellow perch, other four originally contained only forage fish. Trout (chiefly brook trout) stocked each lakes. They grew survived well those which did not contain perch but relatively unsuccessful “perch” One was fertilized phosphate later yielded both fair size, three poisoned restocked and, one instance, Montana grayling. The easily caught mid-summer, for this reason, opened fishing during regular season starting about May first.
