摘要: Statistical methods for detecting the contribution of major genes to quantitative phenotypes have been widely applied in human family studies. Some these are reviewed, and their application analysis an animal model a disease is described. Analysis lipoprotein concentrations pedigreed baboons provides evidence genetic effects on specific components that associated with reduced susceptibility atherosclerosis humans.
