摘要: A highly complex interaction of several physical and biomechanical factors determines the patterns injury probability survival in free falls. Falls from extreme heights result massive visceral vascular injuries, which are usually lethal. Urban falls tend to severe lower extremity, spinal, pelvic fractures. Retroperitoneal hemorrhage is a significant cause death best managed by emergency angiography embolization. Early fixation fractures reduces morbidity.
