Survey on the teaching and use in dental schools of resin-based materials for restoring posterior teeth.

摘要: A survey was conducted of 100 dental schools worldwide to investigate the current teaching posterior resin composite restorations. 20 multi-part question questionnaire emailed selected schools. Schools were by ability understand and respond in English. The consisted four open-ended questions 16 closed on topics such as material selection for restoring teeth, preclinical restoration size, contraindications, matrix placement methods, lining use, adhesive finishing. Forty-six responded. outcomes showed all included restorations but varied. majority (63%) no longer taught amalgam preferred restorative material. Half surveyed set numerical clinical requirements placement. Australian had whilst 92% Asian did. There a consensus that larger less suitable composite. Selection adhesives depended region.
