摘要: Background: Nephrology nurses and patients expressed that the clinician–patient relationship in a haemodialysis (HD) unit might be best described as being part of an extended family. However, there is risk professional boundaries may become blurred due to perceived closeness this relationship. Objective: This systematic review sought explore experiences nephrology clinicians establishing maintaining with people experiencing end-stage kidney disease who are receiving HD treatment. Method: A search strategy was created using JBI guidelines for six databases (PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Cochrane Library library). Qualitative studies were eligible inclusion when participants provided treatment or management hospital outpatient community centre. Results: Three met criteria findings synthesised into two themes (1) (2) coping mechanisms. All three focused on realising importance treating individuals. demonstrated advanced communication skills, empathy compassion interacting patients, which seemed contribute patient satisfaction. found some qualitative evidence explain how establish maintain unit. Conclusion: highlighted significant gap research concerning trajectory across all members renal multidisciplinary health care team.
