摘要: The highly invasive and angiogenic characteristics of malignant gliomas depend on the production growth factors factors. Heparin-binding growth-associated molecule (HB-GAM) is a secreted factor that mitogenic for endothelial cells. To examine expression profile HB-GAM in glioma cells, messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) was analyzed 10 cell lines, two glioblastoma tissue specimens, normal brain specimens by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. mRNA expressed all including specimens. Western blot analysis revealed protein contents lines tissues were 1.8 to 6.3 times higher than those tissues. effect neutralizing anti-platelet-derived (PDGF) antibody also examined since cells secrete PDGF upregulates expression. Treatment U251 T98G with anti-PDGF did not affect production. These results suggest overexpressed involved tumor growth.
