摘要: Neural cell adhesion molecule L1 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that expressed in nervous system. Its functions have been mainly studied vitro using premature neuronal cells. We show all glioma cells tested, as well normal glia cells, express short type L1, L1cs mRNA. The expression protein was confirmed by Western blotting and flow cytometric analysis. Migration assay showed C6 were stimulated to migrate soluble released from L1- or L1cs-transfected fibroblast L1-stimulated migration significantly inhibited antibody recognizes C2-like domain L1. However, antibodies recognize fibronectin III-like cytoplasmic (IC) had no effect on migration. Our vivo study demonstrated transfected rat brains. These results suggest may play an important role homophilic binding (probably through extracellular C2 L1) participates tumor invasion along fibers.
