摘要: Acromegaly is associated with a two-threefold increase in cardiovascular mortality compared to the normal population (1). Before introduction of modern, effective therapeutic modalities, about 80% these patients died before age 60 from disease (2). It usually explained by high prevalence risk factors leading atherosclerosis, such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia which are more frequent acromegalic (3-4). In spide this background, little attention has been given direct role excess GH and IGF-1 secretion endothelial dysfunction triggering event development atherosclerosis.
