摘要: OBJECTIVE In rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the patient global assessment (PGA) has been strongly associated with pain severity, but less often other measures, including disease activity measures. We tested whether RA and psychological measures had direct associations PGA or indirect that were mediated by pain. also correlates of differed degree activity. METHODS studied 260 patients active on 2 visits in a prospective longitudinal study. used path analysis to test Disease Activity Score 28 joints (DAS28), morning stiffness, Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), fatigue, physical role limitations, social functioning, depressive symptoms, health distress PGA. RESULTS Among 509 visits, median score was 50 (25th-75th percentile: 24-66). Pain severity strongest association PGA, found for stiffness distress, DAS28. Morning DAS28, HAQ indirectly through DAS28 ≥5.4, pain, only determinants <4.2, age additional determinants, fatigue marginally CONCLUSION Although determinant RA, important. Determinants activity, age, lesser degree, contributing RA.
