摘要: Eight Mycobacterium tuberculosis and M. leprae genes were inserted into the vaccinia virus genome by in vivo recombination. The resulting recombinants shown to express five different proteins (71, 65, 35, 19, 12 kDa) three (65 18 kDa a biotin-binding protein) Western immunoblot analysis, radioimmunoprecipitation, or black-plaque assay. When injected BALB/c mice, expressing 71-, 65-, 35-kDa protein 65-kDa elicited antibodies against appropriate protein. These are being tested for ability elicit immune protection challenge animal model systems. also useful generating target cells assays aimed at elucidating cellular responses mycobacterial leprosy tuberculosis. Furthermore, four of other share homology with known eucaryotic procaryotic stress proteins, some which may play role autoimmunity.
