The diagnostic value of magnetic resonance arthrography of the shoulder in detection and grading of SLAP lesions: Comparison with arthroscopic findings

摘要: Abstract Purpose The purpose of the study is to determine usefulness magnetic resonance arthrography (MRA) in diagnosis and grading superior labrum anterior posterior (SLAP) lesions Glenoid Labrum Compared with surgery Material methods This was a prospective including fifty nine clinically diagnosed SLAP patients. done during period from January 2008 June 2010. All patients were submitted history taking, clinical examination conventional MRI shoulder, MRA negative MRI, all these underwent arthroscopy for wither open or treatment results compared findings. Main outcome measures Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values, overall accuracy MR detection gelnoid labrum. Results Out patients, 25 had findings 34 findings, who arthrography; 10 out them normal arthrogram (only 6 arthroscopy), 22 (superior posterior) lesions, one Bankart's lesion internal impingement syndrome. These results. sensitivity 90% while specificity 50%, value (NPV) 66.6% predicative (PPV) 81.8%. concurrent 79.3% Conclusion sensitive minimally invasive technique it can help avoiding unnecessary diagnostic arthroscopy.
