摘要: This paper provides an overview of the objectives and status Hyper-X program which is tailored to move hypersonic, airbreathing vehicle technology from laboratory environment flight environment, last stage preceding prototype development. The first research (HXRV), designated X-43, being prepared at Dryden Flight Research Center for Mach 7 in near future. In addition, associated booster vehicle-to-booster adapter are test preparations well underway. Extensive risk reduction activities non-recurring design 10 X-43 (3rd flight) nearing completion. will be airframe-integrated scramjet-powered vehicle.
