摘要: This paper provides an overview of NASA's focused hypersonic technology program, called the Hyper-X Program. The Program, a joint NASA Langley and Dryden is designed to move hypersonic, air breathing vehicle from laboratory environment flight environment, last stage preceding prototype development. research will provide first ever opportunity obtain data on airframe integrated scramjet (supersonic combustion ramjet) propulsion system at true conditions for validation experimental wind tunnel, numerical analytical methods used design these vehicles. A substantial portion program experimentally based, both database development performance validation. now concentrating Mach 7 development, verification test risk reduction. concentrates aerodynamic programs. Wind tunnel testing engine complete configuration flow-path expected in 1998 1999, respectively, planned 2000.
