摘要: Abstract Objective To assess the value of measuring cervical resistance index (CRI) as an aid to selecting patients with a history spontaneous mid-trimester miscarriage for cerclage in subsequent pregnancies. Study design An observational study 175 one or more losses and 123 non-pregnant women who had CRI measurements performed while undergoing routine gynaecological surgery. Those whose indicated incompetent cervix were recommended future pregnancies normal conservative management without cerclage. Results The median control was 38.26 N group 17.00 N. In 62 (35%) findings at variance previous loss; 30 (16.6%) deemed competent on whereas suggested incompetence 32 (18.4%) that should be competent. 486 successful outcome 27.4% Ninety-four have now 148 75.8% Conclusions Non-pregnant significantly lower than parous not suffered loss. 35% may useful technique diagnosis weakness allowing rational selection treatment prophylactic
