High prevalence of infantile autism in Kurume City, Japan.

摘要: We surveyed the prevalence of infantile autism in Kurume City. Children born between 1971 and 1979 ranged age from 4 to 12 years at time survey. found 51 cases autism. In each year group, we determined ratio number total children. The 10.4/10,000 17.5/10,000, with a mean 15.5/10,000. sex distribution was 42 males (prevalence 24.8/10,000) nine females 5.7/10,000). results showed significant difference, male: female 4:1 (p < 0.0005). High rates City were confirmed. (J Child Neurol 1987;2;268-271).
