摘要: Interactions between male Nauphoeta cinerea cockroaches are characterized by an elaborate ritual that leads to a stable dominant–subordinate hierarchy two individuals. Chemical signals involving volatile sex pheromones and cuticular hydrocarbons play important role in establishing maintaining dominance status. The present study was performed identify two- three-times dominant or subordinate individuals obtained forcing dyadic encounters. Two methods, i.e., solid-phase microextraction (SPME) organic solvent extraction, were used isolate hydrocarbons. A total of 23 peaks identified. Analysis showed quantitative differences hydrocarbon profiles according extraction method Dominant higher proportions the monomethylalkanes 11- 13-MeC36, 13- 15-MeC38, 11-, 13-, 15-MeC35, while had following monomethylalkanes: 7-, 9-, 11-MeC31, 5-MeC31, 3- 8-MeC32, 10- , 12-MeC32. Discussion focuses on reliability as indicators status their correlation with physiological processes.
