摘要: This limited study addressed the feasibility of treating aneurysms with a new transcatheter endoprosthesis. Aortic were experimentally created in six dogs and subsequently bridged nylon-covered, self-expanding metallic stents. The followed up for as long 7 months (median, 22 weeks). In each dog, graft effectively reconstituted aortic lumen, excluding aneurysm. One dog exhibited minimal (less than 1-mm) residual dilatation at site aneurysm after placement. nylon material acted support template neointimal encasement, enabling formation vascular lumen. It also remained porous origin side branches, preserving visceral blood supply. endovascular grafts failed to expand completely its distal end, which promoted thrombus within resulted occlusion both renal arteries. was found comatose 48 hours placement killed that time.
