摘要: Thirty-three adult Damascus does (29±1.1 kg BW) were fed 0.6 per head day of a concentrate diet plus ad libitum rice straw (Oryza sativa, control, R), or green acacia (Acacia saligna, A) berseem clover hay (Trifolium alexandrinum, B). All treatment groups had free access to underground saline water containing 3600 ppm TDS. The DM intake was lower (p<0.05) for the R group but did not differ between other two groups. 0.64 (1.98% during pregnancy and 0.93 (2.95% lactation. drinking differed three dietary treatments; B highest mean A lowest. percentage kidding litter weight at birth significantly However, number kids weaned/doe higher B. body weaning R. total milk yield over 10 weeks composition (total solids, fat protein percentages) different groups; having means These results suggest that supplemental feeding is required enhance productivity goats in arid semi-arid environments Acacia saligna should be used fresh excessive quantities extended periods.
