摘要: Based on evidence from previous studies, fire mortality rates among older adults a local level seem to be related two dimensions; population vulnerability and societal protection. In this paper, we investigate the magnitude of impacts variation along these dimensions rate fatal fires involving at least one adult (65 + years) in Swedish municipalities. Our empirical strategy involves using principal components analysis estimate based data health population, factors municipal rescue service efficiency, as well other that may indirectly effect efficiency (such urbanization economic conditions). We then use Poisson regression models study how vary with changes each dimension while keeping constant. The results support suggesting an efficient is important for low rates. However, also find variations play equally role. As such, indicate improved protection order reduce fire-related rates, merely focusing aspects will not eliminate risk-increasing aspect vulnerability. turn, implies need multifaceted approach prevention targets both
