摘要: Abstract Semi-quantitative sampling protocols have been proposed as the most cost-effective and comprehensive way of spiders in many regions world. In present study, a balanced design with same number samples per day, time collector method, was used to assess species richness composition Quercus suber woodland Central Portugal. A total 475 samples, each corresponding one hour effective fieldwork, were taken. One hundred sixty eight captured, which 150 recorded inside delimited one-hectare plot; this corresponds around 90% estimated richness. We tested effect applying different approaches (sampling experience method) on richness, abundance, composition. Most found influence measures, day respective interaction had strongest influence. The data indicated that fauna depletion sampled area possibly occurred inventory reaching plateau by end process. advocate use Chao estimators best for intensive limited space asymptotic properties Michaelis–Menten curve as a stopping or reliability rule, it allows investigator know when close-to-complete has obtained reliable non-parametric achieved.
