摘要: Objectives: To evaluate dental knowledge and attitudes toward oral health care among healthcare providers educators working with children autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in central Saudi Arabia. Methods: There were 305 questionnaires distributed to 7 special-needs centers between September November 2014. A total of 217 collected a response rate 71.1%. The study took place the College Dentistry, King Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom Arabia. Results: Approximately 50.2% participants did not offer any toothbrushing advice, 73.3% never recommended checkup visits parents, 75.6% performed examinations under their care. Ten percent thought that should have first visit after 6 years age. Almost all agreed practice hygiene, 60.4% think they brush twice per day. In general, choose toothbrushes toothpaste as main tools perform hygiene. There 35% who believed parents be responsible for children’s few mentioned teachers therapists responsible. Most (71.4%) receive information from professional resources, only 14.3% bacteria cause cavities. Conclusion: is clear lack attitudes, its practical application participating group ASD Riyadh.
