摘要: Objectives To investigate the correlations of plasma N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels with echocardiographic measurements left ventricular (LV) systolic and/or diastolic function. Background Plasma NT-proBNP are increased in heart failure. The extent to which increase LV dysfunction has not been well characterized. Methods were measured 191 consecutive, clinically stable, ambulatory patients. Echocardiography was used determine (LV ejection fraction [LVEF]) and function by mitral E wave Doppler tissue early lateral annulus velocity ratio (E/Em). Patients a history, physical findings, evidence cardiovascular disease (n = 148) grouped as: (1) normal (LVEF ≥ 55%, n=81); (2) Results correlated negatively LVEF ( P .001). Multivariate regression analysis demonstrated significant correlation .03). Conclusions In this cohort patients healthy control subjects, significantly higher those elevated filling pressures, independent effects mass, renal function, age. These results suggest that may be useful adjunct characterization presenting history symptoms compatible dysfunction.
