Ultrasound evaluation of clobetasol propionate 0.05% foam application in psoriatic and healthy skin: A pilot study

摘要: The aim of the present study was to evaluate through ultrasound imaging response treatment twice and once daily application clobetasol propionate 0.05% foam on psoriatic skin as well atrophogenic potential healthy skin. included a total 40 participants, 30 affected by Psoriasis vulgaris 10 volunteers. Patients with psoriasis were branched in two groups 15 subjects: first group, applied for up 2 weeks targeted plaques, second it 4 weeks. Ten adult volunteers instructed apply × 4 cm area volar aspect forearm Ultrasound evaluation performed all treated areas using 20-MHz B-mode high-resolution system (EasyScan Echo®, Business Enterprise, Trapani, Italy). At end study, showed reduction thickness, values equal those adjacent skin, plaques. No differences efficacy between patients observed. As regards no variations thickness observed at study. imaging, allowing an objective reproducible measurement is useful technique noninvasive both side effects topical corticosteroids.
