摘要: The aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility recording vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) using simultaneous binaural acoustic stimulation (B-VEMP), and compare it with that monaural (M-VEMP). Seven healthy volunteers were by initial B-VEMP test subsequent M-VEMP test, whereas vice versa in another 7 volunteers. All 14 subjects demonstrated both B-VEMPs M-VEMPs, without significant difference latencies p13 n23. When interaural amplitude (IAD) ratio for interpreting amplitude, did not differ significantly from M-VEMPs. Hence, can produce information equivalent M-VEMPs terms response rate, latencies, IAD subjects. Likewise, similar results also shown patients unilateral Meniere's disease. In conclusion, provide neither different nor less variability, as compared addition, offer on inner ear (saccular) pathology Furthermore, be used a possibly more convenient mode two recordings, especially when testing young or old disabled patients, since continuous muscular effort required during recording.
