摘要: An overview of the intact molecular masses and hydrophobic properties photosystem II (PSII) light-harvesting proteins in 14 different plant species is presented. The protein separation identification was achieved by means reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry. good correspondence measured spectrometry with those deduced from DNA sequence (0.008%–0.016% relative deviation Arabidopsis) enabled types. Utilizing this correlation, it possible several cases to spot a gene product for previously cloned genes. In PSII, all antenna show considerably within same as well among various species, contrast observations made PSI. These differences might reflect tuning protein-protein interactions that play role inducing supramolecular organizations PSII: consequence short-term adaptations, seasonal adaptation. stoichiometry readily established on basis peak areas separated ultraviolet chromatograms. found between high copy number genes products reveals are not silent their expression. Moreover, heterogeneity observed PSII suggest strategy realize degree organization interconnection systems under any environmental conditions.
