摘要: Background : Cigarette smoking causes reduced health-related quality of life (QoL) and abstinence improves QoL. We assessed the effects treatment for tobacco dependence on QoL in a 52-week randomized controlled trial varenicline bupropion sustained release (SR). Methods Subjects who smoked ≥10 cigarettes per day past year were randomly assigned to receive 1 mg twice daily ( n  = 696), SR 150 mg  = 671) or placebo  = 685) 12 weeks followed post-therapy an additional 40 weeks. Health-related was using Smoking Cessation Quality Life questionnaire at baseline Weeks 12, 24 52.
