摘要: Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) O157:H7, derived from an outbreak in Sakai city, Japan 1996, possesses two kinds of plasmids: a 93-kb plasmid termed pO157, found clinical EHEC isolates world-wide and 3.3-kb pOSAK1, prevalent strains isolated Japan. Complete nucleotide sequences both plasmids have been determined, the putative functions encoded proteins cis-acting DNA analyzed. pO157 shares strikingly similar genes with F-factor transmissible drug-resistant R100 for replication, copy number control, segregation, conjugative stable maintenance host, although it is defective transfer by conjugation due to truncation deletion required sequences. In addition, encodes several implicated pathogenicity such as hemolysin (HlyA), catalase-peroxidase (KatP), serine protease (EspP) type II secretion system. pOSAK1 ColE1-like replication system, sequence extremely that plasmid, NTP16, Salmonella typhimurium except lacks drug resistance transposons.
