摘要: Eight volunteers maintained on daily methadone participated in a classical conditioning procedure to determine which if any of the elements narcotic withdrawal could be conditioned; The unconditioned stimulus was injection small dose naloxone. response brief precipitated syndrome. tone, odor, and saline. Conditioning successful pilot study 5 8 subjects. conditioned consisted tearing, yawning, lacrimation, systolic blood pressure increase, respiratory irregularities subjective feelings sickness (nausea, muscle aches, chills). A second group subjects showed, addition above, evidence heart rate, respiratory, rate skin temperature decrease. These laboratory findings support clinical reports syndrome suggest ways improve treatment results by detecting extinguishing or modifying responses.
