摘要: Abstract Heated bladed mixers are widely used to process granular materials. Yet, despite their ubiquity, unanswered questions remain regarding how heat transfer occurs in this system, particularly when scaling up the process. In work, discrete element method was coupled with a model investigate amount of material and mixer size influence particle bed heating time. The findings show that relationship between fill level time depends on area relative material, compression, mixing rate. results also indicate is directly proportional diameter. proportionality constant has an order magnitude one impeller rotation Overall, work enhances fundamental understanding elements at play during scale processes heated mixers.
