摘要: Abstract We performed numerical simulations of dry and wet granular flow inside a four-bladed mixer using the discrete element method (DEM). A capillary force model was incorporated to mimic complex effects pendular liquid bridges on particle flow. The are able capture main features flow, which is substantiated by comparison our results with experimental data. It found that mean fluctuating velocity fields for particles differ significantly from each other. Our indicate strong increase in heap formation hence fluctuations vertical direction become more pronounced. observe mixing bladed mixers strongly heterogeneous matter due different regimes within mixer. analysis quality shows spatial distribution intensity influenced moisture content. This can lead locally even globally higher rates compared matter.
