摘要: Calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) has a key role in migraine and recently CGRP receptor antagonists have demonstrated clinical efficacy the treatment of migraine. However, it remains unclear where receptors are located within signaling pathway human trigeminal system hence potential antagonist sites action remain unknown. Therefore we designed study to evaluate localization its components calcitonin receptor-like (CLR) activity modifying protein (RAMP) 1 ganglion using immunohistochemistry compare with that rat. Antibodies against purified CLR RAMP1 proteins were produced characterized for this study. Trigeminal ganglia obtained at autopsy from adult subjects sections rat used immunostaining pattern. The number cells expressing CGRP, RAMP1, respectively, counted. In addition, glial ganglion, particularly satellite cell, studied understand possible relation. We observed immunoreactivity ganglion: 49% neurons expressed 37% 36% RAMP1. Co-localization was rarely found. There no immunoreactions cells; however some displayed immunoreactivity. Similar results ganglia. report store RAMP1; however, CLR/RAMP1 do not co-localize regularly but found separate neurons. Glial also contain CGRP. Our indicate, first time, possibility involving both cells. This suggests site novel therapy.
