摘要: Abstract The relationship of fish populations to major habitat zones and channel alterations was studied in Little Prickly Pear Creek, Montana, during the summers 1965 1966. Five were defined as follows: headwater, meadow, mountain, lower Wolf Creek Canyon, with at least one representative study section each. Approximately 23% (6 30 miles) stream has been altered. Field measurements showed no pool-riffle periodicity altered mountain sections, while successive riffles spaced intervals 5.7 widths, unaltered areas. Altered sections zone consisted, by area, 87% shallow-fast deep-slow water, compared 49 14%, respectively, for sections.
