摘要: This study is the fourth in a series examining driver fatigue Australian long distance road transport industry. Thirty-seven haul truck drivers were measured on routine 4500 km round trip. Two types of driving operations compared, single driving, involving solo driver, and two-up where pair operate continuously alternate between work rest. Two-up reported higher levels than overall tended to show poorer performance. However, this result appeared reflect differential at start Both showed marked increases across first half trip, followed by substantial recovery alertness performance provided that had stationary overnight rest mid trip or shorter trips. Fatigue continued increase second for who did longer trips without benefit night not have access on-board rest, drivers. The use combination with be most successful strategy managing
